Since 2010, the association has been working closely with the Shire to secure land on which to build a mosque including a community centre) in the Bunbury area. In Sept 2013, Alhamdulillah, and by the grace and blessings of Almighty Allah
SWT, following its pro-active and determined efforts, The Association is happy
to inform that we have signed the papers officially to buy on a block of land
in Picton (on Coleman Turn) for AUD 350,000. Unfortunately as at September
2013, we have only have around AUD 80,000 and we are still having a shortfall of AUD
270,000 which need to be raise before December 2013.
This facility will help to meet the current religious, social, cultural and educational and other ancillary needs of a growing Muslim community in this city. The mosque to be built will be the first mosque in Bunbury.
